LINEA

LINEA is a renovation project where sophistication was a central goal for the Clients. There was a desire for privacy and security, and an appreciation of beauty, greenery, and light. A layered entry sequence recalls courtyard house typologies of Morocco, Spain, and elsewhere in the world. The linear geometry established by this narrow city lot is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. This geometry was abstracted into linear lighting elements, at the front facade, courtyard feature wall, main entry, and main floor fireplace. The lower floor lounge was designed for entertaining with connection to the outdoor living space and views of the north shore mountains. A private dressing room provided a tidy place for everything, and a sitting area to relax with a martini.
