Nicola Lake, BC
As a second home, the owners of the LAKE HOUSE refer to it as “the Cabin”, but it is hardly just a cabin. Contemporary in style, the single pitch roof lines oppose the natural slope of the land and open to lake views through walls of glass. Three main volumes define a hierarchy of spaces, with vaulted ceilings on the main level creating a sense of openness and expanding the view. The presence of the lake is felt from almost every room. The main level deck and a walkout basement enhance the connection to the lake on all levels.
