CEDAR GROVE

CEDAR GROVE sits in the Lillooet River valley with views of Mount Currie and the surrounding peaks. A pool and cabana were designed to complement the existing residence and create an oasis for outdoor living. With a blend of refined and industrial aesthetics using concrete, steel, wood and glass, the form is strong and clear. The concrete walls reflect the geometry of the site, opening up to the existing house while providing interest to the spaces and privacy from the neighbours. The cedar elements tie to the native vegetation and bring warmth to the palette. A water feature at the base of the wall echoes the creek at the southern edge of the property, the sound bringing tranquility.
