APERTURA

APERTURA is an opening, a gap between two solid building forms intended to maximize privacy from the street. Entering through a screen, an incredible view is revealed as one descends to the main living level. Set into the slope of the land, each of the three levels is filled with light and views. The outdoor living space was designed for entertaining, re-envisioned in the style of a modern elegant resort. The Decks became focal areas that provide areas for suntanning and shaded areas for contemplative relaxation. As a significant renovation and addition, the design results in a complete transformation.
